On Saturday, February 20, skiers came from far and wide to ski the first annual Great Ishkabibble Tour. The Ishkabibblers departed at 9:30 from the ski shop at Highland Lodge and skied the 16 km premiere Great Circle loop of the Highland lodge ski trail system. Gliding through fields and woods, down hills and uphill to spectacular views, the participants picked up vouchers at check points for each of the ingredients of the Highland Lodge classic dessert, Ishkabibble - homemade brownie, vanilla ice cream, and homemade hot fudge. They were greeted with Ishkabibble at the finish no matter how much time they spent on the tour. Ella Gannon, age 8, who skied the tour with brother Levi, their parents, and friends, was the youngest person to ski the tour. "It was hard, but when you knew you were going to get a treat you could do it. It was really really really fun." The sun was out, the conditions were perfect and the skiers all returned to eat their just dessert.
