Wedding Flowers The Highland Lodge is best suited to a "Weekend House Party" style wedding, a reunion of family and friends in a leisurely setting. We have living rooms to talk in and porches to rock on, comfortable rooms and cottages for small groups, tennis, beach and lawn games for relaxation and cross-country skiing to enjoy in the winter. The grand piano in the living room complements other instruments and singing.

Our perennial gardens are perfect for your ceremony or reception. The Lodge is available late May, June, September, early to mid October, mid to late December, January, February and March. We will work with you to make your wedding suit you and your style.

We had Highland Lodge do everything for us — from rehearsal dinner to our guest's farewell brunch — even the wedding cake! It was a wedding of ease and perfection!

Our lodging capacity is 40-50 people, and as a service to your wedding guests, we would be happy to reserve any number of rooms for you. We ask that you reserve at least 16 rooms or cottages to hold the whole lodge for the wedding party if the reception is at the Lodge. Your guests can call and reserve their rooms individually, yet still benefit from the group rates.

Our chefs have a complete list of menus for you to choose from, from hors d'oeuvres to desserts. All your meals can be right here: your Rehearsal Dinner the night before, or a special breakfast or brunch the morning after for your guests. We would be happy to host a Bridal Luncheon before the event.

We have a planning fee for wedding receptions of $375.00 for weddings of 40 or more people, and $150.00 for under 40 people. We charge a $150.00 planning fee for rehearsal dinners and luncheons. When you reserve the Lodge, we will charge an initial non-refundable deposit of the planning fee. One month before the event we will charge 50% of the estimated cost. The remainder is due at check out. Our menu price for a plated meal or buffet is $60.00 per person; hors d'oeuvres are priced according to selection, per person; and desserts are priced by the item, per person. We will charge a late hours supplement of $100.00/hour for events extending beyond 10 PM at night. One month prior to the event we will finalize the number of guests. This will be the minimum number for which we will charge.

All meal prices are subject to a 20% service charge, and the current Vermont State Meals tax.

Our ceremony set-up fee is $150.00 for parties of less than 40 And $375.00 for parties of 40-120. We will help you with rental of tent, chairs, tables, linen, and other items as needed.

If you need sources for cakes, florists, or photographers we can supply lists of our favorites. We will display, cut, and serve your cake. We will work with your florist for delivery and set up.

We have a Second Class Liquor License for serving beer or wine. We set up an open hosted bar of beer, wine, and soft drinks and charge on a consumption basis, plus a 20% gratuity and the Vermont State Liquor taxes.*
