And with all of those acres of gorgeous esate we have hiking trails, private beach, and Nordic skiing, (not to mention our kid-friendly game room and adult-friendly House Bar) there are activities for everyone.
In the colder months from November to May, our Lodge and Private Cabins include nineteen bedrooms sleeping up to 60 guests. In the warmer months of June to October, Highland Lodge features thirty-one bedrooms sleeping up to 80 guests.

"Cant speak highly enough about our experience at Highland Lodge. Ourselves and a bunch of guests were in town for an extended stay as we were getting married in Greensboro. Elsa, Chad and their staff were absolutely AMAZING throughout the entire process and helped us plan everything along the way, from basically renting out every cabin/room, a rehearsal dinner, after party, and many other accommodations during the process. We essentially communicated back and forth via email with Elsa for almost a year getting plans settled, and she was consistently responsive, helpful and so easy to work with! We got non-stop reports from our guests complimenting on how friendly Elsa & Chad were every time they called to book a room or with a question. "Can never say enough good things about the Highland Lodge. From the lake views, to the delicious food and drinks, all the way to the management. Elsa and Chad treat you like family and make you feel so at home. We had our wedding in Greensboro and had our closest family and friends rent out 95% of the property and it was like something out of a dream. Everyone got to spend the long weekend together, celebrate our rehearsal dinner together, and feel like one big family. We’ve already made plans to come back to celebrate our first anniversary! My husband and I had our wedding weekend there, and I cannot rave enough about the Highland Lodge!
The lodge itself is amazing. We had booked the whole weekend for our friends and family (and were reimbursed by each family member/friend), and it was amazing to know that the lodge was filled with all of our people who were surrounding us in love! The lodge has a bunch of great cabins to stay in, which offer privacy and some space for downtime, as well as adorable rooms and a lot of sitting areas for chat and gathering. We made use of the fire pit and game room as well.
Elsa and Chad were phenomenal hosts! They were communicative throughout the whole process. We had our rehearsal dinner at the lodge and were able to have such a lovely experience, including a last minute change to come inside because temperatures were cold!
